Skating in the Sky at John Hancock Observatory
This winter, treat yourself to a truly memorable experience at the John Hancock Observatory and skate on the world's highest ice rink! At over 1,000 feet above street level, the John Hancock Observatory's 900 square foot indoor ice rink offers unparalleled views of Chicago's famous skyline and surrounding cityscape. Each session lasts 25 minutes and you're welcome to bring your own skates or rent a pair onsite for $1. Beginners can even learn how to skate from Chicago Blackhawks Youth Hockey coaches at three half-hour sessions offered FREE with admission every Monday.

Jellies - Shedd Aquarium
Get a fascinating glimpse of the wonders that lie beneath the ocean at the Shedd Aquarium's newest exhibition - Jellies. Enter the world of these beautiful, translucent specimens, and discover the unique adaptations that have allowed these mysterious creatures to thrive and survive on Earth for over 500 million years - without the benefit of blood, bones or brains.
Come face to face with the Lion's Mane Jelly, the world's largest known jelly species, which can grow up to 8 feet in diameter and sport tentacles up to 100 feet long. Discover the Umbrella Jelly, which averages between .1 and .125 inches at full maturity. Learn how the fragility and enormous diversity of jellies - whose bodies are 95% water - makes studying them especially challenging for scientists.
This exhibition runs through May 28, 2012 at the Shedd Aquarium. Prepare to be mesmerized!

Charles James: Genius Deconstructed
Known for his unique ability to balance the intuition of an artist with the precise technical skill of an engineer, Charles James is one of a fewer than a handful of American designers to have worked in the pure tradition of haute couture. This Chicago History Museum exhibition explores the history and work of this important couture fashion designer, and why he is still a relevant force in the fashion world nearly 40 years after his death.

The Chicago Auto Show 2012 returns to McCormick Place for its 104th year as the country's largest and longest running auto exposition. All exhibits are held in 1.2 million square feet of McCormick Place's exhibition complex. Wind City Circus Comes to Navy Pier
The Windy Circus comes to town, presenting international circus acts and awe-inspiring performers from countries around the globe plus circus performers depicting historic Chicago characters at Navy Pier's Festival Hall, February 17-26, 2012. Windy City Circus is a not-for-profit touring circus, and the creation of David Maas, founder and WCC Big-Top producer, who co-stars with his wife, Dania Maas, in their Quick Change act performed around the world. All proceeds go to charities such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana, and Special Olympics Chicago. Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew
Chicago Shakespeare Theater provides an introduction to William Shakespeare for all audiences on Saturday mornings at 11 am with its annual Short Shakespeare production.
CST presents a 75-minute abridged production of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew, telling the tale of the strong-willed Kate and Petruchio, a man willing to marry her if the price is right.
These likely foes and unlikely lovers enter into Shakespeare’s most famous battle of the sexes, leaving audiences wondering who from this colorful cast of characters tames whom.
