SPEEDWEEK 2012
Speedweek begins Thursday, January 16th and ends with the DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAYS 54TH RUNNING OF THE DAYTONA 500 on Sunday, February 26th. Thurday, February 16th ARCA practice begins. Enjoy the Budweiser Shootout Draw Party. Friday, February 17th come and see the Budweiser Shootout practice and ARCA practice & qualifying. Saturday, February 18th let the races begin with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 ARCA Racing series and the Budweiser Shootout NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Sunday, February 19th DAYTONA 500 Qualifying presented by Kroger NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Wednesday, February 22nd pracice is held for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Thursday, February 23rd will be the Gatorade Duel at Daytona, National Sprint Cup Series. Practice for NNSand NCWTS and qualifying for the NCWTS. Friday, February 24th will be the NNS qualifying, NSCS practice and NextEra Energy Resources 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Saturday February 25th NSCS practice, DAYTONA 300 Nascar Nationwide Series race. The Finale will be Sunday, February 26th the 54th Running of the Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series! BIKE WEEK
About a half million bikers come to Daytona to attend Bike Week - a 10-day party every spring. Some of the activities that occur during this time are street carnivals, concerts, bike racing, and parties. This rally typically happens during the first complete week in March, and rivals the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota as the most famous motorcycle celebration in the country. Bike Week 2012 begins Friday, March 9th through Sunday March 18th. Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort is located one block from Main Street where all the action takes place. |
